Kelci Beus, CMHC, RPT-S

Co-Owner & Therapist

Kelci has a wide range of experience working with children, teens, and adults. She feels strongly about helping others’ find their own understanding behind their behaviors and how those impact their day-to-day life. Kelci has a passion for working with everyone across the lifespan— especially children and their parents. She enjoys finding ways to personalize goals and strategies to help create lasting change for each of her clients, regardless of age. She is eclectic in her approach; and has training in several different therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness.

Kelci has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from Weber State University and a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Washington State University. She has previously worked as a therapist and the Clinical Director at a larger agency. She worked extensively to create programming and policies at this time. This experience also allowed her to provide clinical and Play Therapy supervision to other therapists passionate about working with children.

Kelci has a dedication to working with kids and is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S). She enjoys working with other passionate professionals working toward their play therapy credentials. Kelci has completed specialized training in sand tray, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, expressive arts therapy, and Autplay, which was created specifically for children with certain neurodivergent diagnoses, such as Autism and ADHD. Kelci is also a UAMFT trained supervisor.

Kelci can help clients experiencing life transitions, depression/anxiety, behavioral concerns, and more. When she’s not in the office, Kelci loves spending time with her family, watching movies, being in the outdoors, and has a passion for running.

Necha Lowry, LCSW

Co-Owner & Therapist

Necha is passionate about helping individuals recognize and learn skills to overcome life’s challenges and achieve their goals. She tailors her therapeutic approach to work collaboratively with the strengths and needs of each individual by utilizing different therapeutic techniques including: cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, mindfulness, and other experiential modalities. Necha has experience and training to work with individuals, couples, and families.

Necha obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University and a master’s of Social Work degree at the University of Utah. She worked with the State of Utah Department of Child and Family Services for 7.5 years as a child welfare case manager, trainer, and certified social worker. Prior to co-owning Become You Therapy, Necha gained experience as a therapist and Clinical Director of a counseling agency. Throughout her prior work experience, Necha worked with children and adolescents on increasing emotional intelligence and obtaining skills to effectively respond to daily challenges as well as adults navigating life stressors and mental health challenges.

Necha has received continuing education/training in CBT, sand tray therapy, play therapy, and Gottman techniques. She is also a certified clinical yoga practitioner and is passionate about helping clients increase their mind-body-connection. In addition to clinical training, she is also a UAMFT trained supervisor. 

Necha can help clients experiencing stress/anxiety, depression, family dysfunction, mood dysregulation, trauma and more. In her free time, Necha loves music, sports, and outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.

Madison Martinez, LCSW

Therapist

Madison is extremely committed to helping children and parents find their voice, understand and regulate their emotions, as well as teaching them coping techniques to overcome life’s obstacles. She understands the value and importance of therapy, and the many ways it helps children foster their emotions and continue to grow. It is a constant goal of hers to ensure every client and parent she works with feels safe, comfortable, and valued in session.

She works with a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, play therapy, psychoeducation, expressive arts therapy, bibliotherapy, and works from a strengths-based perspective.

Madison has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Weber State University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky. She has previously worked as a therapist, Parent Program Coordinator, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Madison has completed training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Sand Tray Therapy, and is currently working to further her training in play therapy and attachment. She has the goal of becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).

Madison can help children and their parents who are experiencing behavioral/emotional concerns, anxiety/depression, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), life transitions, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Madison spends her free time with her two dogs and with her family and camping, hiking, swimming, or having a relaxing day.
